Sayings of a Gadfly

A Pastor said, “There cannot be any errors in the Bible.  The Bible is the basis of our faith.  If we admit one error, then the whole of the Bible and our faith come crashing down.”

The Gadfly said, “Faith is not in need of a base, as if it were a fragile vase which could break if we are careless.  Rather, it is the life of our spirits soaring to the horizon.  What faith does it take to walk on solid ground?  Where is the need for courage in the absence of fear?  Do not seek to build a granite temple floor that your faith may walk in peace and safety.  Floors are for walking, but faith is the wings of the soul.”
