THE SECRET
OF GOOD RELATIONSHIPS

Someone said, “The secret to a good relationship is the presence of three things: attraction, communication, and love.”

The Gadfly said, “Above all things, respect must blossom.  For without respect, attraction is only the ranting of an empty heart. Without respect, communication becomes a hammer with which to strike and injure.  Without respect, love is no more than admiring yourself in the mirror of your own neediness.  Such love withers and dies even before the dawning of its ecstasy is complete.  Do for your beloved as your would have your beloved do for you. When your respect has risen to this height, attraction grows to unity.  Communication becomes the pathway to communion.  And love is empowered to redeem human life.  This is the secret of a good relationship.”
