IDOL WORSHIP

 A preacher said to a woman, “You cannot call God ‘Mother’. The Bible says God is your heavenly Father.  The scriptures always refer to God as a He.  Referring to God as Mother is heresy. And I will make sure you are removed from your Sunday school teaching position.  Woman, you are heading straight for hell.” 

 The Gadfly said to the preacher, “What is this odd obsession with God’s crotch?  You find out someone thinks a little differently from you, and you are ready to throw her into hell.  It has been written, ‘If your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out and throw it away.’  I tell you preacher, if God’s maleness causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away.  It is better to love a heavenly eunuch with all of your heart, soul, and strength, than to commit idolatry with an imaginary phallus.”
