THE DANCE OF LIFE

A man said, “We must hold fast to the one true faith.  Contradictions are deadly to our faith.”

The Gadfly looked up and said, “Contradiction is not deadly, but a giver of life.  We grow in the knowledge of life through the dance of opposites.  What shall we know of peace, except through the eyes of chaos?  What shall we know of pleasure, if not for our intimacy with pain?  When one thing contradicts another, it is not death, but revelation.  Do not fear this passionate dance.  For, although its rhythms make the pulse race and the palms sweat, its melody brings the knowledge of the highest to the soul.”
